yet upon completion it becomes an open door
into my life..

Bethany is an artist by nature.

Painting and drawing the human figure has been her passion since a very young age.

The unique quality that sets her art apart from all other figurative artists is her ability to let the art create itself.

No planning, merely colors and textures applied energetically to her canvas.

The figures become apparent as the artist studies each sweep of paint and every crevice of texture.

Bethany decides what energy, feeling and emotion are necessary to contrive a figure that i s more real.

Bethany's work features a unique three dimensional, richly textured canvas that appears seemingly weathered. Bold, near acrylic monochrome palettes that are worked and reworked allow for such informal structure and non-choreographed work to burnish her canvas. Human countenances and hints of form are often discerned at a subliminal level revealing themselves to the viewer as free-flowing celestial figures. Distinguished by wrenching emotional content, spiritual attainment, and life's journeys, Bethany's art is pure and unencumbered allowing viewers to see what they may.
